PSG Football Club Has Been Buying Bitcoin For Its Treasury

Pär Helgosson, Web3 Manager at Paris Saint-Germain Football Club (PSG), announced that the club—finalist in the 2025 Champions League— has been quietly buying Bitcoin and its Treasury now holds proudly holds BTC on its balance sheet.

The revelation was made during Helgosson’s presentation at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, United States. However, the club did not disclose how much BTC it holds.

Helgosson said from the main stage:

“One of the things we did as a club was incorporate bitcoin into our ledgers. We took part of our fiat reserves and allocated it to bitcoin. It’s still on our books. And as one of the biggest clubs in the world, we’re the most significant player in the sports ecosystem to take a step like this.”

In addition, the director of the French club added, “PSG Labs is now accelerating entrepreneurs and Bitcoin projects, and we will help them go to market.”

“We are going to launch with you, list with you, compete with you. We will help them find that global market with our more than 550 million fans around the world.”
