Trump: No tariffs imposed on China's purchase of Russian oil for now.


On August 16, Jinshi Data reported that recently, the United States announced additional tariffs on Indian goods under the pretext of punishing India for purchasing Russian oil. The US also threatened to impose secondary tariffs on Chinese goods exported to the US due to the purchase of Russian oil. According to a report by Reuters on the 16th, US President Trump stated after meeting with Russian President Putin on the 15th local time that there are currently no plans to impose tariffs on China for purchasing Russian oil. After concluding his meeting with Putin in Alaska, Trump told a Fox News reporter that given the circumstances of the meeting, he would not consider imposing tariffs on China for purchasing Russian oil at this time. Trump also said, "I may have to consider this issue in two or three weeks, but for now, we do not have to consider this issue."
